About the event
The world premiere screening of The Comfort Dogs of Uganda will be a celebration of compassion, resilience and the quiet power of healing.
This moving 30-minute documentary film shines a light on the life-changing work of The Comfort Dog Project and The BIG FIX Uganda, where rescued dogs become powerful sources of comfort, connection, and hope for war trauma survivors. Through the film, we come to understand the profound link between animal welfare and mental health, and how care, kindness and trust can transform lives.
Following the screening, audiences are invited to stay for a Q&A with the filmmaker and representatives from The BIG FIX Uganda, offering insights into the stories behind the film and the realities on the ground. Guests will also have the opportunity to meet some of the rescued dogs and cats who are waiting for loving homes.
